Carolyn Jackson Ferguson, 76, of Greenville, SC passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
Carol was a native of Henderson County NC and was preceded in death by her parents, Kelly L. and Helen Hill Jackson, a sister Beatrice Kerr, and a brother Tommy Jackson.
She graduated in 1964 from Edneyville High School, earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1968 from Berea College in Kentucky and earned a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of South Carolina in 1971, and was a Certified Management Accountant. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina in 2010 after serving for nearly 40 years.
She is survived by her husband of more than 55 years, Jim Ferguson of Greenville, SC; a sister, Evelyn J. Splawn and husband Aubrey of Edneyville; a brother, Roger Jackson and wife Micki of Edneyville; a sister-in-law Stella C. Jackson of Hendersonville and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Mountain Home Baptist Church Cemetery, 21 Little Creek Rd. Hendersonville, NC. Reverend Grover Putnam will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, Greenville, SC or to Berea College, Berea, Kentucky.
