Steven Ben Gardner, 65, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, in the mountains of Hendersonville, NC on June 28, 2023.
Steve loved these mountains he called home. He was devoted to and loved his family and the Lord. He was a hard worker and always had a quick smile and a kind word for those around him. His playful and mischievous nature will be missed by those who knew him best.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother and father, Benjamin Kelly Gardner and Doris Ann Moss.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Dale Gardner; son, Joseph Steven Ben Gardner (Amanda); daughter, Linda Gail Crittenden (Micky); son, Colton Lee Gardner; grandchildren, Makayla, Chase, Layne, and Kalisi.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Tuxedo, NC. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
