Kimberly Ann Gill was born on April 28, 1975, in Thornton, Colorado to Tom and Kathy Gill. Her early years were spent in the Denver and Aspen Valley areas of Colorado. When Kim was 14 years old, she moved to Lake Mary, Florida with her parents and sister Tina. She had a special bond with her parents that spanned her life.
She graduated from Lake Mary High School in 1993. Kim met Jason in 1995 and 18 months later they were married on March 29, 1997. Their first three daughters Alexis, Hannah and Amanda were born in Orlando, FL. In 2008 they moved to Asheville, NC and their fourth daughter Gabriella was born. Kim always wanted to be a mom and loved her daughters dearly. Travelling and camping with the family were her favorite activities.
She was not afraid to try anything with her entrepreneurial and creative spirit. Kim worked at Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy to be closer to the kids over the last 4 years. She was a fierce defender of the girls and Jason because she loved her family so much. Kim and Jason never fought and loved each other unconditionally. They were best friends who accepted and respected each other and were rarely separated.
When Kim was diagnosed with brain cancer on September 23rd, 2022, Jason became her primary caregiver with help from her mom, Kathy. On July 1st, 2023, after a tough battle, Kim was peacefully called home with her family by her side.
She is survived by her husband Jason; daughters, Alexis Cowan and son-in-law Cameron Cowan, Hannah Miller, Amanda Miller and Gabriella Miller; her parents, Tom and Kathy Gill; sister, Tina Edwards and brother-in-law Kevin Edwards and their son ,Troy Edwards with Kylie Evans and daughters Rosalie and Hazel Edwards, parents-in-law Dennis and Diane Miller, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Eric and Suzy Miller and their daughters Danielle and Lauren Miller; sister-in-law, Amy Cleveland and her son, Jacob Cleveland and daughter Delaney Cleveland.
There is an open invitation to Kim’s “Celebration of Life” service which will be held on July 22nd at 11:00am at Brookstone Church, 90 Griffee Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787.
