On Thursday, July 2nd, 2020, Nancy Ballard Bradley, loving wife, sister, mother and “Granny” went to be with the Lord at the age of 76.

A lifelong resident of Henderson County, Nancy was born to Harold and Margaret (Clayton) Ballard in the summer of 1944.  She was then blessed with two younger sisters, Betty and Barbara, whom she loved dearly.

In November of 1963 Nancy married the love of her life, Arnold “Bigfoot” Bradley.  They raised one son, Matthew, who was the light of their lives.  Nancy was an eager and devoted homemaker who loved any chance to cheer for her boys, never missing a bowling match or baseball game.  It was at these events that Nancy made some of her dearest lifelong friends.  In her later years Nancy delighted in her grandchildren, her pride and joy.  Just the mention of their names brought smiles and laughter even in the midst of her toughest battles.

Nancy had a passion for taking care of others and was always willing to help out, always at the ready to fill whatever role was asked of her.  Her presence will be sorely missed by the many people who have been blessed by her willing and generous spirit.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Bradley, parents Harold and Margaret C. Ballard, and sister Betty Laws (Larry) of Hendersonville.  She is survived by her son Matthew K. Bradley (Lauren) of Etowah, her three grandchildren, Brett, Addilyn and Anistyn, sister Barbara Holbert (Ralph) of Hendersonville as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at 2pm on Tuesday, July 7th, 2020 at Etowah Baptist Church with Dr. Brian Henderson and Pastor Jimmy Page officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oak Forest Cemetery in Etowah.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.

Jackson Funeral Service is assisting the family with the arrangements.
