Dennis E. Taylor, 66, of Hendersonville, NC passed away peacefully Sunday, July 3, 2022 at his lake house.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest T. Taylor and Peggy Cantini Taylor and his beloved dog Bo.
He graduated from East Henderson High School. He joined Dana Volunteer Fire Department in 1979 and retired in 2013 becoming a life time member.
Dennis owned and operated Quality Auto Repair on Sugarloaf Road where he worked on Fire and Emergency Service Apparatus from around Western North Carolina and South Carolina.
He was an avid fisherman and master wordsmith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Carol Ann Taylor; his daughter, Monica Howard and her husband Josh of Hendersonville; his step-son, Kevin Gillespie of Brevard, NC; his brother, Kendall Taylor and his wife Jo Ann of Hendersonville, NC; a granddaughter, Riley Harding and her husband Andrew of Tryon, NC; his great grandchildren, Grant Harding “Spanky”, Nyla Rae and Micah Hoskyns; his beloved dog, Little Sweet and his many friends that he considered family.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 8th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jackson Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday the 9th at Dana Fire Department. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park
