Lee Anne Barron, a Hendersonville native, passed away July third after a lengthy and courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born October 30th, 1971 at Pardee Hospital to Nancy and David Barron. She is survived by her mother Nancy Swaringen Barron. Her brother Christopher and wife Sarah. And the absolute pure joys in her life, her three nieces Isabelle Rose, Madeline Lee and Amelia June Barron.
A graduate of West Henderson High School and later Berea College in Kentucky, Lee Anne loved to travel and experience new things. She never backed down from a challenge and that spirit served her well in her careers with Pardee Hospital and Mission Health in Asheville where she found community and friendship to all that met her. That tenacity and big heart made her impossible not to love and brought light into every chapter of her life.
Her fight was not alone, the care teams of Pardee Cancer Center, Mission Radiology and Duke University were there for every step of this journey. We are forever grateful for their support as well as all the family and friends who’ve walked beside us on this path. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the GBM Foundation at www.gbmfoundation.com.
A celebration of life to honor Lee Anne will be held at Trailside Brewing Co 873 Lennox Park Dr in Hendersonville NC Saturday July 13th from 3-6pm. Please come share a story or a memory as we honor this amazing young woman.
