In Loving Memory of William “Billy” Hall Jr.

William “Billy” Hall Jr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 68. He leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and a profound impact on all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Billy was born on February 15, 1955, to William Hall Sr. and Elizabeth Hall in Brevard, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by both parents, his stepmother Margaret Hall and, sister Pam Justus. He grew up in a close-knit family and developed a strong bond with his sisters, Pam Justus and Nancy Peace. Billy’s love for family was evident throughout his life, and he took immense joy in spending time with his loved ones.

On a fateful day, Billy met the love of his life, Wanda Cannon, and their paths became forever entwined. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership, spanning decades filled with shared laughter, support, and unwavering commitment. Billy and Wanda were a beacon of love and stability for their children, William, Amber, and Brent, who will forever cherish the memories and lessons instilled by their remarkable father.

Billy is survived by his wife, Wanda Hall, who stood by his side through thick and thin, providing unwavering love and support. His children, William, Amber, and Brent; and their 11 grandchildren, carry his spirit within them, embracing the values he instilled and the love he showered upon them. Billy’s older sister, Nancy Peace, also mourns his loss and cherishes the memories they shared throughout their lives.

Billy had a zest for life and pursued his passions with unbridled enthusiasm. He had an adventurous spirit and found solace in the great outdoors. Hunting and fishing were not mere hobbies for Billy; they were profound connections to nature and cherished moments shared with friends and family. He had an innate talent for finding arrowheads, which sparked his curiosity and deep appreciation for history.

Golf was another great passion that brought Billy joy and camaraderie. He relished the challenges and triumphs on the golf course, and the friendships he cultivated through the sport were treasured connections that lasted a lifetime. Billy’s love for golf extended beyond his personal enjoyment, as he eagerly shared stories of his golfing adventures, passing on his passion to those around him.

Billy’s dedication to his alma mater, West Henderson High School, was evident through his years of service as the Booster Club President. In September of 1996, Billy was awarded “Unsung Hero” from the N.C.H.S.A.A.; for selflessly giving his time and energy to support the school and its students, ensuring they had the resources needed to excel athletically. Billy’s commitment to his community was unwavering, and his impact on West Henderson High School will be remembered for generations to come.

Billy Hall Jr. will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father, a caring brother, and a loyal friend. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. As family and friends gather to celebrate his life, they will share stories and memories that will keep Billy’s spirit alive in their hearts forever.

In this time of mourning, let us find solace in the memories we shared with Billy and carry his legacy forward by cherishing our loved ones, embracing the beauty of nature, and living life to the fullest, just as he did. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
