Clara Mae Crowder, after years of longing to go home to Heaven, she has finally been granted access to the Kingdom! We are so excited to send Clara on her Grandest Journey.
Clara passed peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of Monday, July 8, 2022. The kind and knowledgeable staff at Life Care took great care of her while she was with them in life and tender care after death. Our family wishes to thank them for everything.
Clara is preceded in death by her mother and father, Clyde Goldman Crowder and Edith Randolph Crowder; brother, Donald Mack Crowder; nephews, Tony Corn, Marty Jones, and Shawn Crowder; great-nephew, Colby Moon.
She is survived by two sisters, Irene Jones and husband Roland, Ellazene Corn and husband Jim, and one brother, Bruce Crowder and wife Sheena. She had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews all of which she loved.
Clara was a very dedicated member of the First Nazarene Church of Hendersonville. She proudly sang in the choir for many years as well as served in multiple ways.
Clara’s career consisted of working for 31 years at General Electric. After her years of work, she retired to help care for family. She dutifully cared for her nephew without complaint and with much love and compassion. Clara loved Shawn as if he were her own son. Allowing Bruce and Sheena to give the best possible life to his siblings. Clara was a silent blessing to our family and she worked tirelessly behind the scenes to provide happiness to each and every family member
Clara will be sorely missed by all of her friends and family. We all will be joyful at the sweet reunion that is most definitely happening right now!
A funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Hendersonville First Church of The Nazarene. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park following the service.
