Terry Gail Lackey Baker, 61, of Hendersonville, passed away Friday July, 09 2021 at the Elizabeth House. She fought a short battle of diabetes and pancreatic cancer.
She was the daughter of the late A.C. Lackey and Barbara Lyda Lackey of Edneyville.
She operated the Bee Hive Cottages at Edneyville. She operated the Vintage Rose Salon on Fleming Street for twenty years. Her life long dream was realized in January of 2021, when she opened the Posh Salon at 106 Joel Wright Drive, in Hendersonville. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Edneyville. She was a member of the Joseph Kuykendal DAR. She graduated from Edneyville High School in the class of 1978 and the N.C. School of Cosmetology.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Jeffrey M. Baker; one son, Chad Baker (Morgan). She leaves behind her mother, Barbara Lackey; her sister, Carol Lynn (Pierre); two Nieces, Laura Pace and Taylor Pace; two nephews, Joe LeBerge and Hunter LeBerge
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Episcopal Church 1657 St. Paul Rd, Edneyville, NC with the Reverend Kevin Todd officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
