Mary Joyce Jones Corn, 95, of Zirconia, NC, went peacefully to meet her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2023, at Elizabeth House after a short illness.
She was born in Hendersonville, NC, to Sam and Ida Mae Jones on February 6, 1928. She is survived by her son, Harold Corn (Peggy) of Easley, SC, and her daughter, Ella Surrette, of Hendersonville, NC. Left also to remember the Gran Gran stories, love, and prayers are her grandchildren and great grandchildren Scott (Carol Ann) Surrette and daughter, Alli; Marla (Ed) Pryor; and Michelle (Robert) Keith and children Georgia and Larson Tate as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Corn, her parents, brothers Edgar Jones, Ray Jones, Richard Jones, and sister Dorothy Jones Barnwell Cantrell.
Mary Joyce loved her Tuxedo Church and was active there as a Sunday School Teacher of Lydia Class and pianist/organist as long as she could attend. She so appreciated their continued love and support.
A graveside service will be held at Pace Cemetery on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Rev Mikell Bennett and son, Harold Corn, presiding.
