James Gerald Coggins, 62, of Zirconia, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Mission Hospital.
A native of Henderson County, He was the son of the late Robert and Carrie Morgan Coggins.
James was a great man, husband, father and pawpaw. He is now rejoicing in Heaven with the Lord. Runnning on those streets of gold. He is no longer in any pain or suffering. He was loved by so many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Joyce Coggins; a son Travis Coggins and his wife Victoria, two grandchildren; Laina and Lacey Coggins and his brother; Dexter Coggins and his wife Bonnie.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Tuxedo First Baptist Church, 30 Branch Lane, Zirconia, NC 28790 . There wil be a memorial held at Harris Motor Speedway at a later date, per Gerald’s request.
The family will be at the residence of Gerald and Joyce Coggins.
