Marie W. Stanberry, 77, of Hendersonville, NC was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, the 16th day of July, 2022.
She was the daughter of the late Henry & Virginia Walker of Candler, NC.
She is survived by her son, Rodney Leroy Stanberry of Hendersonville; her Daughter, Melinda Stanberry Austin of Hendsersonville. She is also survived by 3 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She worked as an LPN for many years at Mission-St Joseph hospital of Asheville, NC and New Hanover Hospital in Wilmington, NC and the Brian Center of Hendersonville NC. She retired after 23 years at Selee Corporation in Hendersonville, NC.
She never met a stranger and loved to give Hugs. She always said that’s why God gave us arms. She always found the good in everybody. Her smile would brighten anyone’s day. Her voice was soothing and her touch was gentle. She was strong minded, quick witted and a true joy to be around.She dearly loved her family and her friends and “Peanut Butter on a hot dog”. She will truly be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her memory on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 5:00pm at Tracy Grove Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to:
