Carola G. Garren Keenum, 74, of Hendersonville, NC went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 18, 2021.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Beatrice Blythe Garren and was also preceded in death by a sister, Lynda Burris.
She graduated from Hendersonville High School. She was an operator for Southern Bell, she also had worked for the family business, Carousel Towel; was a teacher at Faith Christian Day School and was a Surgical Coordinator at Carolina Ophthalmology.
She was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church and had previously taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School at Calvary Baptist Church.
Carola is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Charles H. Keenum Sr.; a daughter, Candi Wright and her husband Dean of Fairview, NC; a son Charles H. Keenum Jr. and his wife Kim of Fort Mill, SC and four grandchildren, Allie, Lauren, Reece and Maggie.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 22nd from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Jackson Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Robert Garren and Rev. David Stanford officiating. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park.
