Ronald Alan Albrecht, 81, of Hendersonville, NC., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Pardee Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
He was born in August of 1940, a son of Walter and Bonnie Albrecht. Ron attended school in NJ and after graduating high school, he married his wife Louella in 1963 and then proudly served his country in the Army. After an honorable discharge from the military, he became a loving father to two daughters, Rhonda and Denise. In 1974 he moved his family to Maine where he built the family home in Southport Island where his daughters attended and graduated from high school. He supported his family as an auto mechanic and later worked for Central Maine Power Company. In 1986 Ron and Louella moved to NC where Louella passed away in 1990.
Ron was an avid antique car buff with a special passion for the Studebaker. He was a member of the Hendersonville Antique Car Club and had a great knowledge of all automobiles. He was a sweet, kind soul, with a personality that people fell in love with the first time they met him. He spent his last twenty-nine years with his partner, Timothy Bailey, enjoying his friends, his cars, and the NC weather.
He is survived by his two daughters, Rhonda Perkins of Lee, NH and Denise Albrecht and her wife, Lorna Thompson of Auburn, Me; grandchildren, Joshua Perkins, Zachary Thompson, Noah Thompson and Nora Thompson; a brother, Harold Albrecht and his wife, Barbara of Sewaren, NJ.; his long-time partner, Timothy Bailey of Hendersonville and Tim’s daughter, Tammy Weeks and her husband , Jeremy of Gastonia, NC and their children, Ash, Jathen, Alvin and Luke.
