Margaret Heaton Coleman, 92, of Hendersonville, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at The Elizabeth House.
A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late C. Frank and Lillie Osteen Hill and wife of the late Haskell W. Heaton Sr. with whom she had three children and the late B.J. Coleman. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Margaret attended East Hendersonville Baptist Church. She was a retired nurse who had a great passion for taking care of others. She was a snowbird, loving to split her time between NC and FL. Margaret loved to cook, enjoyed time with her family and sitting on the porch.
Survivors include; one son, Haskell W. Heaton Jr and his wife Cindy; two daughters, Margaret “Peggy” Thompson and her life long friend Jessie and Nevelyn McCall and her husband Earl; one brother, Lawrence Hill; one sister, Jean Garren and her husband Jimmy; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five great- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11AM at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with the Rev. Carroll Poole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
