Joseph “Freddie ” Barnard, Sr, 82, of Brantley County GA passed away after a long illness at Elizabeth House in East Flat Rock, North Carolina.
Freddie was an avid fisherman who love to stay on the Satilla River all day. He was also a devoted Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a proud United States Army Veteran.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Arlington Barnard and Delilah Anderson Barnard; his daughter Dorenda Murrell; his granddaughter and light of his life Destinee Barnard and grandson Karson Haynes; and his favorite little dog of 18 years Candy.
Freddie is survived by his daughter Dawn Hughes of East Flat Rock, NC; two sons Jospeh F. Barnard Jr. of Waycross, Ga and Timothy Barnard of Waycross, Ga; grandchildren Ashlee, Chelsea, Dakota, Brendon, Caitlin, Asungwi, Michael, Bethanee, James, Taylor and Blaze; 18 Great- Grandchildren; a sister Sue Hickox (David) of GA.
The family will hold a private ceremony in Georgia at a later date.
