Deborah (Debbie) Eye, daughter of Charles A. Eye and Frances J. Eye, passed away on July 25, 2024 at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC after sustaining a traumatic brain injury on July 3, 2024.
Debbie is survived by her sister-in-law, Gail Bordner; her nieces and their spouses Terri Miller (Nathan) and Lorissa Vines (David); her nephew and his spouse Wesley Kale (Rebekah); great-niece Eden Miller; great-nephews Christopher Miller, Daniel Miller, and Cameron Kale; cousins and their spouses Robert Butler (Sue) , Todd Lee Butler, Karen Borger (Bill), Vicki Menendez, Michael Menendez, Maria Menendez, and Cheryl Pruitt (Jerry).
As a devoted dog-mom, she is also survived by her beloved dachshund “Rhett Butler”, and Jack Russell “Skipper Jr.”
The lives she has touched and made better over the years are immeasurable as evidenced by the many friends that were counted as family in her heart. She loved her independence, she loved being outdoors, she loved her dogs, she loved to laugh, and she loved helping others.
She had the gift of encouragement and loved her family and friends with all her heart. While her loss will be felt by many, she would want to be remembered for her smile and her spirit. Heaven is made brighter by her presence.
