Esther T. Davis, 101, of Edneyville died Saturday July 27, 2019 at Sunnybrook Assisted Living.
Esther was born in Concord, N.H. to the late Charles and Martha Taylor. She graduated from Laconia School of Nursing; Married Gaylerd Davis and six years later moved to Edneyville where she worked at Patton and Pardee Hospitals for twenty-seven years. She was married to Gaylerd until his death in 2006. She was a member of Edneyville United Methodist Church and Edneyville Grange.
Esther is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Ward and her husband Marvin of Edneyville; two sons, “Sandy” Davis and his wife Joan of Taylors, SC and Taylor Davis and his wife Marcia of San Diego, CA and a son-in-law, Larry Prince of Sparta, NC; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter Sarah Prince and three sisters.
A memorial Service will be on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Edneyville United Methodist Church. Visitation will be on hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to Edneyville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 87 Edneyville, NC 28727.
