Larry Daniel Johnson, 76, of Mills River, North Carolina, passed away on August 6, 2023.
He was born on July 27, 1947, in Lafollette, Tennessee. Larry was a patient and outgoing individual who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a deep love for his family and took great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren. Larry discovered his passion for racing and fixing cars, which became his favorite hobby.
In his professional life, Larry had a successful career as a computer repair specialist. He was known for his expertise and dedication to his work. Larry’s attention to detail and problem-solving skills made him highly sought after in his field.
Larry served in the Navy for 17 years, proudly contributing to the military community. His commitment and service to his country were commendable, and he embraced the camaraderie and discipline that came with being a part of the Navy.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Johnson; his daughter, Debra Mercer; his son, Daniel Johnson; and his cherished grandchildren, Chase Mercer, Katelynne Mercer, Jayden Mercer, and Lilliana Mercer. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM in The Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family has entrusted Jackson Funeral Service with the arrangements.
