Dwight David Wilkins, 62, of Hendersonville, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, August 19, 2022.
A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Dave Edward and Doris Edney Wilkins. He was preceded in death by one brother; Kenneth Edward Wilkins, a great aunt and uncle; Grace and Claude White and a great nephew; Matthew Blaine Searcy.
Dwight loved the outdoors, mowing the grass, taking rides, just enjoying nature. He liked to play games and especially loved puzzles. Dwight had a unique way of looking at life, that made you think. He loved his family and friends and will be truly missed by all who knew him.Those left to cherish his memory are two sisters; Melisa Wilkins Spangler and her husband Charles and Patricia W. Searcy and her husband Chesley all of Hendersonville, one aunt; Linda Lee Hart of Weaverville and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held, Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Reverend Phillip Capell will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at his residence.
