David Lee Michalski Sr., 84, formerly of Hendersonville, NC died Friday, August 26, 2022 in Orange Park, Florida.
He was the son of the late William and Harriett Michalski of Jamestown, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Propes Michalski, his brothers, William Michalski, James Michalski and Henry Michalski.
He served in the US Navy.
He retired from Cargill Inc. after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his spouse, Shirley Moore; a son David Lee Michalski Jr. and his wife Marlene of Hendersonville, NC; a granddaughter Bailee Jane Kunath and her husband Josh of Columbus, NC; great grandchildren, Liam and Rhett Kunath both of Columbus, NC, Tyler Sims, April Sims and Abigail Sims all of Hendersonville, NC; a sister, Nelli Jo Calanni of Texas and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2022 at The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Bat Cave, NC with Pastor Anne Bridgers officiating.
