It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Kuykendall, who departed this life on August 8, 2026.
Maureen will be remembered for the love, kindness, and compassion shared with family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life touched many people, and her memory will continue to live on through the countless lives influenced by her generosity, strength, and caring spirit.
Maureen’s legacy is one of devotion, faith perseverance, and love. The moments shared, lessons taught, and memories created will be cherished forever.
Maureen was born in Lisbon, New Hampshire on October 4,1944 to Walter and Elaine Young. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry and her sister Margo Ireland.
She is survived by her loving children Robyn, Aaron, and Kyle (Suzi); grandchildren Christyn Headington (Jordan), Cory Beebe, Brenna Kuykendall, Jake Kuykendall; great grandchildren Laney Aldrich, Hunter Bellis, Jackson Headington, Ivey Draper and great-great grandchild Everly Olsson as well as nephew Scott Ireland and beloved brother-in-law Harold Kuykendall (Tootsie).
She is also survived by extended family and many friends who will deeply miss her presence. While hearts are heavy with grief, there is comfort in remembering a life that brought so much meaning and joy to others.
A celebration of life and memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at two o’clock in the afternoon at The Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service, 1101 Greenville Highway, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
The family appreciates the thoughts, prayers, and support received during this difficult time.
