Franklin Adrian Ward went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2020. He is preceded in death by his Father, Ted C. Ward, Mother, Frances Pace Ward, Sister Ann Ward Anders, Her husband Dick Anders, Nephew Preston David Anders and Great Granddaughter Kaitlyn Ward (Katie Bug). He is survived by his wife Genevieve Norris Ward, Daughter, Deborah F. Ward. Son, Mark A. Ward (Cathy) and Son, Blake Ward. Grandsons, Ricky D. Ward, Ryan M. Ward (Laura), Nick L. Ward (Chelsea) and Rick L. Ward. Granddaughter Zoey Ward. Great Grandchildren, Ashley Lockard, Cassidy Ward, Raelynn Ward, Shelby Ward, Whisper Ward, Kalyssa Ward, Logan Ward, Gage Ward and Jaxon Ward. Two Nieces, Abby Foster (Nick) their Children (Dustin and Mitchell), Robin Jones, and her children (Leah, Casey and Dillion).
Franklin attended Blanton’s Business College in Asheville, NC, where he received his degree in Business.
Franklin served in the U.S. Army in the 21st infantry, where he received the United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal W/1 Bronze Service Star, National Defense Medal, ROK Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Metal and the Army Reserves.
Franklin was employed at E.L. DuPont for 30 years, where he retired.
Franklin was a member of Stoney Mountain Baptist Church.
There will be a memorial at Stoney Mountain Baptist Church at a later date with date and time to be announced.
