Buddy “Bud” Fender, 80, of Fletcher, NC went to his heavenly home unexpectedly on Saturday, September 3rd2022. He was the son of the late Chapple and Nettie Fender.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary Ellen Fender and his second love, Ponnee Fender; his brothers, Carly Fender and Ronnie Fender.
He is survived by his daughters, June (Ron) Hensley, Elaine (Scott) Wright; granddaughters, Crystal Wheeler and Jessica Wright; his sweetheart, Anne McLaughlin; his sister, Reba Mathis.
Bud had worked hard throughout his life in many different fields. His last occupation was sheetrock finisher which he truly loved doing. He loved fishing and camping until his health wouldn’t allow it any longer. He worked outside in his yard and garden until the day he died and he wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Bud was known for his sense of humor and his tell it like it is approach to life. His family was his world and he would have done anything for them.
He will be sorely missed from now until we see him again.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 9, 2022 at Fletcher First Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
