Heaven beckoned and the call was answered. Kenneth Herman Smith, 69 went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
A native and resident of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Mildred and Clarence Smith. He attended Sugarloaf Baptist Church and the Hope Center previously associated with Mud Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed music, dancing, watching TV and drinking coffee. He was a loving son and brother.
He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Ledbetter.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Ledbetter, two brothers, Clarence Smith and wife Janice, Jack Smith and wife Lisa and several nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Chapel In The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Refuge Baptist Church.
