Juanita Mae Tefft Burdick, 89, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at her home.
She was the first born of Henry and Vivian Monroe Tefft. She was also preceded in death by her husband C. Gordon Burdick, two brothers, Marlin and Marlow Tefft and a sister-in-law, Joanne Tefft.
She graduated from South Otselic Central School and Morrisville University. She was a dietician at Cortland Memorial Hospital and then she and her husband owned and operated a business, Taylor Rental in Oneonta, NY. They retired from there and move to Lake Wales, Florida.
Most recently they moved to North Carolina to be with her sister.
In their retirement years, Juanita and Gordon loved to travel and eventually visited every state except Hawaii and even went into much of Canada and many other fabulous places.
She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Hendersonville.
She is survived by two sisters, Laurena Helms Turner of Mill Spring, NC, Arletta Mease of Mountain Home, NC: two brothers, Marcene Tefft and his wife Barbara of Norwich, NY and Martin Tefft and his wife Kristi of South Otselic, NY and several nieces and nephews.
A local service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Hendersonville on September 19th at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ken Mason officiating.
A graveside service will be held in Upstate New York through R.J. Fahy Funeral Home in the near future.
