Anita Dosee Rozell went home to be with the Lord at the age of 92 on Saturday, September 9, 2023. She had been living in Hendersonville, NC, and was formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Anita was born on November 27, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY. Her father passed away before she was born, and her mother passed away when she was five. Gustaf and Julie Anderson adopted her and gave her a home.

Anita graduated from Brooklyn High School for Homemaking. She went on to earn her LPN degree from Caledonia Nursing School (Brooklyn, NY) and her RN degree from Miami Dade College. Anita also took several classes at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.

In 1951, Anita moved to Miami, Florida and married Carl Dosee. They had two beautiful children together: Robert and Renee. Sadly, Carl passed away too soon in 1981. Anita’s faith in God carried her though the difficult days that followed.

While raising her children, Anita worked at the Miami Heart Institute in Miami Beach from 1960 to 1991. She quickly became a Head Nurse and received many commendations and awards.

Anita was a faithful member of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church from 1990-2013. It was at Coral Ridge that she met Dale Rozell. They were married in March of 1993.

Anita was an adventurous person and enjoyed taking rides on the bicycle for two that Dale built and many road trips together in their RV. They were active members of both Evangelism Explosion International and Glasses for Missions ministries. Anita and Dale traveled the world together sharing glasses and the Gospel everywhere they went; they helped restore people’s physical and spiritual vision.

After moving to Hendersonville, NC in 2013, Anita and Dale became members of Fruitland Baptist Church.

Anita will always be greatly loved and missed by her family and many friends. The characteristics that made Anita such a beautiful person were her passion for sharing the Gospel and her readiness to help anyone who had a need. Her amazing, contagious, and joyful personality will be remembered by all who knew her!

Anita was predeceased by her parents Gustaf Anderson and Julie Kjaer Anderson, her first husband Carl Aster Dosee, her half-sister Anna Klages, her stepson-in-law Warren Shrum and her beloved son Robert Dosee.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dale; daughter Renee Pelletier and son-in-law Danny Pelletier; daughter-in-law Jill Dosee; stepchildren Harold Rozell and Eydie Shrum; four grandchildren: Kari and her husband Scot Love, Kristana and her husband Jonathan Slie, Brenna and her husband Philippe Oubre, and Elizabeth; her brother, David Anderson, and her sister, Esther Eliason. Anita also leaves a legacy to her seven great grandchildren: Josiah, Sarah, Hannah, Caleb, Simeon, Jocelyn and Oliver, and to her many nieces and nephews.
