Elvis O. Sullivan, aged 88, of Limestone, Tennessee, departed this life on September 12, 2023. Born in Savannah, Tennessee on March 31, 1935, to Reeder and Hazel Sullivan, Elvis was a testament to the virtues of grit, tenacity, and hard work. He served as an Army Security Police Officer with dedication, later spending over four decades with LTV Steel as a Plater/Operator. Waking early and laboring diligently, he was a man who could mend anything and kept his tools with precision — exemplifying the adage that hard work sharpens the spirit. His life’s labors were a reflection of his steadfast love for his family.
With the years, his tough exterior gave way to a well-earned gentleness, but his core remained unyielding: work hard and love deeply.
He leaves behind his treasured children: Cindy and her spouse, Wade Trammell; Dwight and his wife, Janet Ashby; and Sheri and her husband, Andre Dubois. His proud lineage also includes eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and six great, great-grandchildren, along with a host of nephews, nieces, and lifelong friends. He rejoins his parents, beloved wife Elinore Joanne Sullivan, daughter Cheryl Dorff (Ray), grandson Brian Krieg, and brothers John and James Kenneth Sullivan.
The family’s gratitude extends to Four Seasons Palliative Care and Hospice and the steadfast caregivers who looked over him: Briana, Kailey, and Denise.
In time, the family will hold a private memorial. In Elvis’ memory, consider contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice, or the Shriners Association.
