Jeanne Jordan, 95, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025. She was born July of 1930 to Arthur and Ruth O’Connor in Wilimantic, CT.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Dutch; husband, Edward; son, James; daughter, Wendy.
In 1959 she married Edward Jordan and together they raised twelve children. Jeanne spent many years raising her family and making a home while moving over thirty times. She and her husband operated a neighborhood store in Bath, ME and a grocery store in Brunswick, ME.
Known for her skill at reading palms, she could liven up any party. She enjoyed music of all genres, reading, and a lively political discussion. She loved holidays and blamed her aching back on the task of wrapping all those Christmas presents.
She is survived by her children, Susan, Sylvia, Michael, Richard, Kathleen, Karl, Dorothy, Edward, Deborah, and Robert; two sisters, Sheila Marsilisi; 24 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Sarah Bentley, FNP and staff for their compassionate care. They also thank Four Seasons Hospice for their support and kindness.
A gathering of family to celebrate and honor her life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory to Four Seasons Hospice are appreciated.
