Lawrence Cheatum “LC” Stepp, 85, of Hendersonville, NC went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2019 at his home.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County and was the son of the late Reverend L W “Haydock” Stepp and Elnavie Jackson Stepp and was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Jackson Stepp; brothers, Talmadge, Kelly and Dean Stepp and a grandson, James Lawrence Stepp.
He retired from General Electric after over 30 years of service and had worked at Season’s Florist.
LC loved watching his great grandsons play football and loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Jimmy Stepp of Hendersonville; two daughters, Diane Burrell and Penny Stepp both of Hendersonville; three grandchildren, Pam Capell (Phillip), Chris Burrell (Cassie) and Tonya Austin (Byron); five great grandchildren, Cole, Will, Justin, Coby and Hannah; a brother, Arthur Stepp (Mary) of Saluda; a sister, Maxie Jackson (Grover) of Etowah and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, September 19th at Jackson Funeral Service with Rev. Phillip Capell and Rev. Glenn Ray Hyder officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM and at other times will be at the home of Jimmy Stepp.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Four Seasons Hospice.
