Ronny Dean Hensley passed peacefully in his sleep September 22, 2022. He was born in May 1954 to J.D. and Evelyn Hensley in Buncombe County, North Carolina.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, June Ellen Hensley; his children, Crystal Wheeler (Keturah), Jerry Hensley (Jennifer), Russell Hensley (Maria), Rondi Babineau and Kerri Wood (David). He had several grandkids, great-grandkids and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Evelyn Hensley. He was a decorated Army veteran. He served 17 years for his country, serving in Vietnam, Panama, Granada, and Desert Storm. He guarded the late Queen of England during the Falkland War.
Ron loved riding the back roads with his lovely wife June on the sling shot. He also loved sitting on the back porch and arguing with his father-in-law (Bud Fender who recently passed.)
Family will receive friends at the home. A celebration of life will be held at home on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 3pm. Please come and share your favorite Ron stories.
In lieu of flowers the family has asks for donations to be sent to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
