Ronnie Keith Payne, 82, of Edneyville, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
Ronnie was defined by the word love. He loved the Lord, his family and his country. Ronnie was a man of faith that was proud to serve his country as a Vietnam Veteran of the US Navy. He loved fishing and going to waffle house with his grandchildren. Ronnie served in the US Navy for 13 years with his favorite time being on the Ticonderoga aircraft carrier running the catapult and arresting gear on the flight deck. He was a proud patriotic Ticonderoga Tiger and enjoyed seeing his old friends any time he had the chance. He retired from the US postal service as an electronic technician after 19 years. He was a long-time member of Mountain Home Baptist church in Edneyville and loved his church family and his faith. He was a loving husband to his wife Delois W Payne of 52 years, a loving father to his son Aaron K payne and wife Sara G Payne, his daughter Anjanette P Fitch and husband Kevin Fitch. He absolutely adored his grandchildren- Joshua Fitch of the USAF, Jacob, Joseph and Judah Fitch. He is dearly missed by all who knew him and his family’s hearts are broken but we are comforted to know that he is whole and with Jesus.
