Scott Hubbard “Pop”, 69, of Hendersonville, NC passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday September 29th.
Scott was born in November of 1952 in New Haven, CT. He was preceded in death by his parents ,Hobart Hubbard and Rosemary Blanchard as well as his stepmother, Eleanor Blaha Hubbard.
Scott moved to North Carolina to work for Absorba. He also worked for Gerber Childrenswear and Knights Apparel as an executive in the apparel business for over 40 years.
Most importantly, Scott loved his wife and family. He was quick to tell anyone how proud he was of them, especially his daughters and his grandchildren.
Scott enjoyed spending time with his friends going to hunt club in SC, his buddies at their annual fish camp, solving the daily crossword puzzle, doing his daily walk about and watching all the old black and white television shows. He had a “one of a kind” sense of humor and would always be there to offer advice to all that he knew and loved.
He was survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Patricia, daughters Erin (Brian), Kalynn, and Emily (Brandon); grandchildren Mia, Zander and Paul; sister Nancy (Brian) Owen, brother Robbie (Barbie) Spencer, brother Doug (Cindy) Spencer, sister Sandy (John) Poole, brother Kim Hubbard, brother Jeff (Beth) Hubbard, and Linda (Christian) Merieau; and many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank all the staff in the emergency department and the ICU at Pardee Hospital, especially all the nurses, doctors, and the Palliative Care staff who showed incredible care and compassion to him and his family during this difficult time.
