Randall Stephen Terry, Sr.
Randall “Randy” Terry died on the 7th of October, eleven weeks after a sudden and untreatable illness developed. He was born August 13, 1950 and adopted into Hendersonville, NC on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 1950. He always thanked God for his father’s unwavering support and his mother’s love and patience, and the opportunity to grow up in the NC mountains. Randy graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1968 and Western Carolina University in 1972. With the exception of two years in Atlanta, GA and a year in Asheville, NC Randy lived in Hendersonville his entire life. Randy and Linda were fortunate to celebrate fifty-four years of marriage this year, on September 16th.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Leonard Terry and Bertha M. Pritchard “Pritch” Terry, as well as grandparents and aunts, uncles and several cousins.
Randy was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church. He praised our Lord for the guidance, teaching, and influence he gleaned throughout his church life. The Biblical principles he learned contributed to a wonderfully loving and devoted husband.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Linda A. Trusheim Terry from Baltimore, Maryland and three sons Randall S. Terry, Jr. (Laura) in Atlanta, GA, Brandon R. Terry (Cherie Randall, fiancé), in Hendersonville, NC, and  Brice L Terry (Meaghan) in Raleigh, NC.
He dearly loved and regularly prayed for his nine grandchildren: Mady, Trey (Randall S. Terry, III), Luke; Jazmine, Hailey, and Oden; and Leah, Brice Jr., and Archie. In addition he leaves behind 6 nieces and nephews and two great nieces. Randy had a big heart and appreciated his and Linda’s cousins and the generations preceding them.
Randy was a member of the LION’S club for several years during the numerous years his father served in the club. Most recently he served on the BOARD of Hendersonville High School Alumni Association. His career focus was on interior design and furniture sales. Before retirement in 2012, he served as the general manager of the Habitat Store for Homes in Hendersonville.
Randy’s love of his family and home motivated his daily love and constant maintenance of his domain. His great joy was in the yard work, and he referred to it as “The Park.”
An internment service at home in “The Park”  (121 Rutledge Drive) is planned for Sunday, November 8, 2026 at 1:30 p.m., followed by an opportunity to greet Randy’s family in the home. (Carpooling will be helpful).
In Lieu of flowers a memorial gift may be sent to First United Methodist Church (204 6th Avenue, West Hendersonville NC 28793); HHSAA (P.O. Box 179 Hendersonville, NC 28793 marked “memorial / Randall Terry Sr.) or a benevolence of your choice.

Jackson Funeral Service is honored to serve the Terry family.
