Joseph Christopher Basile, 83, of Flat Rock, NC., passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at his home. Joe was born in Washington D.C.
Joe is surrounded in heaven by his parents, Mary and Harry Basile; his two half-sisters, Betty and Joni; his best buddies, Dave and Billy; and his son, Joseph, Jr.
Joe worked in construction from the time he was a teenager and was still building at the age of 83. If he wasn’t building, he was sharing stories and memories from his past or flirting with the ladies. He was always making people laugh and will be missed by so many, including his best friend, Sheila Brown.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandi R. Basile and Carrie A. Basile; and his ex-wife Peggy Basile.
Joe will be missed dearly.
