Around October 7, 2026, Linda Anne Cooper, beloved mother of two, resident of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Registered Nurse of 56 years, completed her journey on Earth and went home to be with our Lord Jesus at age 79.
Linda dedicated her life to helping others as a nurse, on hospital floors and later in telemedicine.
Linda graduated from the Barnes Hospital School of Nursing in 1968, when the school’s attrition rate was fifty percent. She made Nurse of the Year in the 1990s at the Maricopa County Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, which was, on a good day, an extremely challenging place to work. More recently, she used decades of hands-on hospital experience to provide remote support to countless thousands of people calling physician offices after hours.
Outside of work, her love extended to but was not limited to her parents, two sons, her sister, nieces and nephew, countless friends, and many cats and dogs and pretty much any animal she came across. After leaving Phoenix and spending a few years in Raleigh, she found peace and a wonderful community in Hendersonville, North Carolina over the past 16 years.
Linda is survived by her sons Douglas Cooper of Fountain Hills, Arizona, and Michael Cooper of Huntington Beach, California, as well as her nieces Amy Perry and Amanda Encarnacion, both of Chandler, Arizona. Now free from Earth’s struggles and reunited with her departed loved ones, she now waits for us to complete our own journeys and rejoin her in eternity.
The family invites relatives and friends to gather together for a informal one hour visitation, Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at two o’clock in the afternoon at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service.
Condolences may be sent to the Cooper family at www.jacksonfuneralservice.com or C/O Jackson Funeral Service 1101 Greenville Highway, Hendersonville, NC 28792. Please include the name of the deceased on the condolence.
