Seldon Alger Waldrup, 84, of Hendersonville passed peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, at Carolina Village in Hendersonville, NC.
He was born January 10, 1941 to Archie and Frances Parker Waldrup in White Pine, TN.
Seldon was preceded in death by his parents; brothers G.D. Harmon Waldrup and Charles Junior Waldrup; and a sister Verlin Sherman.
Seldon served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a machinist for DuPont for 28 years and enjoyed a lengthy retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Freeman Waldrup, two sons, Kevin Waldrup and Jeff Waldrup, a daughter Denise Gordon and husband Britt Gordon, two grandchildren, Chris Waldrup and Katie McCall and husband Sam McCall, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 23rd at Edneyville United Methodist Cemetery. Pastor Bryan Melton and Pastor Phillip Kuykendall will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Edneyville United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 87, Edneyville, N.C. 28727 or to Four Seasons Hospice in Hendersonville, NC.
