Janet Elaine Van Skiver was born in October 1936 in Dover, NJ.
She went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 30, 2021. She was at her residence in Hendersonville, NC with her family at her side. She was 85 years old.
Janet spent most of her time in NJ. She moved to Hendersonville, NC with her husband in 1993 when they retired. Her husband, Richard (Dick), passed away in April of 2019.
She is survived by her three children and three grandchildren: Rick Van Skiver, Debbie Van Skiver and David Van Skiver and his wife, Lisa and their three children (Gavin, Brenna, Cullen); sisters’-in-law, Dorothy Hemphill, Joy Van Skiver and their spouses; and other beloved extended family members.
Janet will be remembered for many different attributes. She loved crafts and gardening. She was very artistic and had many hobbies through the years.
A celebration of her life will be held at First Church of The Nazarene, Hendersonville, NC on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 5:00 PM.
