Mildred Marie Hoots Cooper, born on March 27, 1941, of Flat Rock, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 02, 2021.
A lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Nan Hoots Gillespie and wife of the late Roy Earl Cooper.
She retired after 30 years of service at the former Ball Brother’s plant in Arden. Mildred was a member of First Alliance Church of Hendersonville. She played the piano and loved word games and puzzles of all types. She loved her family fiercely and cared for her friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Cecelia Marie Lotz of Belgrade, Montana and Renee Cooper Rice of Hendersonville, NC, two sons in law, Ronald Lotz and James Rice; four grandchildren, Chad, Megan and Josiah Lotz and Rita Rice; one great granddaughter, Alice Ember Lotz and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held, Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00 in the morning at First Alliance Church of Hendersonville, 1821 Windsor, Drive with the Reverend Ron glass officiating.
