Kent Shuford Sayles, 64, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Pardee Hospital following complications from heart disease.
Kent was born on August 18, 1961, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, to Luther and Lynda Shuford Sayles.
He was a graduate of T.C. Roberson High School, Class of 1979. Kent was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church and worked as a mason by trade, a profession through which he used his skills and craftsmanship.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Sayles, who passed away in 2023; his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Minnie Sayles; and his maternal grandparents, Julius and Lynne Shuford.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Ryan Sayles; his mother, Lynda Shuford Sayles; his brother, Mark Sayles, and wife, Nancy; his nephew, Taylor Sayles, and wife, Kathleen; great-nieces, Caidence, Callia, and Channing; great-nephew, Cole Sayles; and his uncle, Phillip Shuford.
Kent will be remembered by his family and loved ones, and his memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a family who will continue to cherish the memories and bonds they shared.
