Jeffrey H. Cosgrove, 64, of Laurel Park passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Elizabeth House Friday, November 5, 2021. He was a native of Hendersonville, NC and the son of the late Dr. Kenneth and Eleanor Cosgrove.
He received a Philosophy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Horticulture degree from North Carolina State University. He was the founder and owner of Southwinds Landscape Company from 1983 to 2021. His artistic talents brought beauty to the lives of so many in this community and beyond.
Jeff was a loving husband and father, a true friend and mentor. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dena; three children, Cassie Cosgrove and her husband, Carl Frederiksen, Kara Cosgrove and Jake Cosgrove; grandson, Cedar Frederiksen; four brothers, Kenneth Cosgrove and his wife, Sarilla, Timithy Cosgrove and his wife, Stephanie, Barry Cosgrove and his wife, Betsy and Chris Cosgrove and his wife, Billie; many much-loved nieces and nephews and countless friends and colleagues.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 13th at the First Baptist Church in Hendersonville, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Four Seasons, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
