Suzanne Lindsey Burgess, 80, of Hendersonville received her heavenly wings on Thursday, November 12, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Suzanne was proud to be a Henderson County native, born in 1940 to Thelma Garren Lindsey and W.D. Lindsey, Sr. Suzanne was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Suzanne was predeceased by her husband, Marion “Beaver” Burgess: brothers, Keith Thomas and Ray Lindsey; sisters in law, Lou Lindsey and Rachel Thomas. Left to cherish her memory are her children, David Burgess (Darlene), Donna Ballard (Paul), and Chris Burgess (Dawn); brother, Bill Lindsey (Tommie); sisters, Jean Rhodes and Pat Harris (David); grandchildren, Marie Vaughan, Holly Metcalf (Shawn), Lauren Neese (Adrian), Jennifer Jarred, William Beau Ballard, Amanda Head, Lindsey Burgess, Rebecca Yarlett (Devin), Adam Burgess and Anna Burgess; great-grandchildren, Hannah Jarred, Sterling Ballard, Avery Fisher, Clark Neese and Drake Metcalf.
A graveside service will be held at the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Willow Road, Hendersonville, on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
