Dale Richard Bennett born on June 30th 1929 in Elkhart Indiana went home to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully surrounded by loved ones… November the 12th at his home in Edneyville North Carolina.
He leaves behind a loving wife, of 67 years Winnie Zellene Bennett
He and his wife were blessed with 11 children, 23 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter May, and his brother Bud, his grandson Anthony and his grandson Tim.
He was the oldest of three brothers, leaving behind Donnie and Clarence, who reside in Wayne City, Illinois.
Dale will be missed by friends and relatives.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, Navy, and Merchant Marines.
He was a faithful soldier of the Lord Jesus Christ.
He enjoyed writing poems and short stories which have been published in many books and drawing pictures.
But what he would like to be remembered for most was his faithfulness to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Dad’s last prayer was that everyone would come to know Jesus before it was too late and that he hoped to see them in heaven one day.
