Treva Alewine Burgess, born November 27, 1973, peacefully entered her eternal resting place while surrounded by her loved ones on November 13, 2022. Wife of Jimmy Allen Burgess, Jr., for 29 years, she was proceeded in death by her parents Jackie Ray and Dorothy Jean (Dot) Alewine.
Treva was mother to 2 children Avery and Kendall who she loved dearly. She was also “Mimi” to her granddaughter Makiah Grace.
She was a Family Ministries Assistant for 16 years at Mud Creek Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC. She was an awesome wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by everyone who knew her.
Treva was the ultimate beach girl. She loved sitting in the sand and loving on her children and granddaughter. She will truly be missed, but we know she is in the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ.
Treva is survived by her husband Jimmy Burgess, Jr., of the home, her son Avery (Stephanie), her daughter Kendall, and her granddaughter Makiah. She is also survived by two half-brothers John Alewine of Calhoun Falls, SC and Jackie Alewine of Lewisville, TX, half-sister Karen Ashley of Calhoun Falls, SC, stepmother Regina Alewine of Donalds, SC, step-brother Jonathan Bedenbaugh of Donalds, SC, step-sister Christel Bedenbaugh of Donalds, SC, four nephews and one niece.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19th from 1 pm until 3 pm at Mud Creek Baptist Church in Hendersonville, NC. A memorial service will follow at 3 pm. Treva’s wishes werein lieu of flowers that any donations be made to Mud Creek Baptist Church located at 403 Rutledge Dr., Hendersonville, NC for: Debt Retirement.
