Joyce Crawley Burleson, 88, of Hendersonville, NC went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 17, 2025, peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in McDowell County, NC and had lived in Henderson County for most of her life.
She was the daughter of the late E.O. Crawley and Daisy Wilson Crawley and was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Roy Burleson and 7 siblings.
She retired from Kellwood CO in Hendersonville after 30 years of service. She was a member of Flat Rock Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to quilt and enjoyed her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Rick Burleson and his wife Ruth of Hendersonville and Carroll Burleson of Hendersonville; two daughters, Sherry Clark of Hendersonville and Dawn Branche and her husband Brian of Etowah, NC; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren with one due in May; 16 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held, Saturday, November 22, 2025 at eleven o’clock in the morning, with the Reverend Doug Carroll and Reverend Doug Nichols officiating. Burial will follow the service at Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 1759 Tatertown Loop Road, Nebo, NC at two o’clock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
