Larry Keith Laws, 72, of Hendersonville, NC passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at Elizabeth House after an unexpected illness.
Raised in Transylvania County, he lived the majority of this life in Henderson County. He was the son of the late Rothie and Reba Laws. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Ballard Laws.
Larry retired from General Electric after over thirty years of service. He spent his time after retirement working part-time at I-26 Small Engine. When he wasn’t working, he was busy being a loving and devoted “Papaw” to his grandchildren. He had a passion for restoring classic cars, NASCAR racing and all things “Dale Earnhardt”.
He is survived by three daughters, Beth Ann Russell and her husband Wes, Regina Veach and her husband Michael and Angela Jones and her husband Mitchell all of Hendersonville; ten grandchildren, Blake, Preston, Jaiden, Garrett, Cooper, Stella, Cash, Aiden, Ace and Domonic; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Bradley and Barbara Holbert and her husband, Ralph of Etowah.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 23, 2019 in The Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service followed by a reception with all his “Favorites.” Please come as you are. In lieu of flowers donation can be sent to Four Season’s Elizabeth House 581 South Allen Rd. Flat Rock, NC 28731.
