Wilma Hill Rogers, 75, of Flat Rock, NC gained her angel wings on the morning of Tuesday, November 25, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents: Pierce and Vienna Hill, and three sisters; Regina, Sybil, and Hazel Hill.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald W. Rogers; a son, Troy Rogers (Angie); two daughters, Gwen Sides (Scott) and Lisa Walters (Cary); six grandchildren; Ashley Gonzalez (Jonathan), Hayden Hawkins (Alicia), Rebecca Sides, Kristen Britt (Dylan), Aaron Rogers (Presley), and Hayley Souvenir (Anderson); ten great grandchildren, Violet, Gunnar, Isla, Liliana, Israel, Adeline, Emilia, Jackson, Caleb, and Zaria, and two more expected to arrive July 2026.
Her family meant the world to her, and she made sure they were a priority. She covered them daily in prayer and loved them with all she had to give. While we will miss her deeply, we rejoice in the fact that she has now been healed from her Cancer and is rejoicing with her Family that had been awaiting her arrival in Heaven.
Wilma spent her entire career in the medical field where she also shared her love and compassion with everyone she met. She developed true lasting friendships with many co-workers who over the years became a part of our extended family. She was a member of Marantha Baptist Church in East Flat Rock, NC.
The family would like to say a very special Thank you to her Hospice nurses: Ali and Jody who truly were a blessing to her and our family.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Maranatha Baptist Church, Flat Rock, NC. A funeral service will follow at the church at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Steve Gibbs officiating. In lieu of black, please wear a colorful outfit to celebrate the life lived to its fullest.
