Kenneth D. Ring, 77, of Flat Rock, passed away suddenly after undergoing heart bypass surgery  Saturday, December 07, 2024 at Mission Hospital.

He was the son of the late Donald and Norma Burnes Ring. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Kermit L. Ring.

Kenneth was a kind and gentle soul. He was a man of great faith who loved his family very much.

He was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, where he served on various committees and attended various Bible studies.

Retiring in 2009 as a public health director, he continued to work with several physicians offices, the Free Clinic and volunteered at the Rescue Mission and Mission Medical Reserve Corp.

Kenneth had been a Kiwanian for 28 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years; Christine Case Ring, one son; Brian C. Ring and his wife Kimberly, one daughter; Michelle Ring Fagan and her husband Larry J. Fagan, one sister; Judy Gustin, three grandchildren; Xander T. Ring, Nate J. Fagan and Alivia (Livie) Fagan. He will also be remembered by nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Grace Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends for one half hour following the service. Interment will take place at Upward Holiness Church Cemetery following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
