Barbara Diehl Rhodes, 81, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord on Friday December 08, 2023 at the Elizabeth House.
A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Margaret Wirtz Diehl. She was preceded in death by one son Keith Rhodes.
Barbara was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir. She and her husband Sherrell owned and operated Budget Upholstery for many years. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Barbara enjoyed life and always had a kind word and smile for anyone she meet.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of sixty years; Sherrell Rhodes, two sons; Scott Rhodes and his wife Tina of Flat Rock and Kenneth (Keith’s twin ) Rhodes and his wife Angie of Hendersonville, her daughter in law; Janet Rhodes of Hendersonville, two grandchildren; Bradley Rhodes and his wife Rochelle of Charlotte and Tyler Rhodes and his wife Dallas of Hendersonville, two sisters; Beverly Blake and her husband Richard of Hendersonville and Beth Hill and her husband Chris of Flat Rock, one brother; Bryant Diehl and his wife Betty Ann of Columbia, SC and one sister in law; Nancy Graham and her husband Joe of Hendersonville.
A private family service will be held.
