On Friday, December 18, 2020, Ronald MacLeod, a wonderful Father of three boys, passed away at the age of 87. Ron was born December 1 3, 1933 in Nassau, New York to Collin and Mary (Bauer) MacLeod. On May 20, 1961, he married Ruth Lila Solli. Together, they raised three sons, David, Andrew and Mitchell. Ronald attended Hempstead High School on Long Island, and lettered in several sports. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Duke University in 1955. Ronald was enrolled in the ROTC program at Duke. As an Officer in the Air Force, he reached the rank of Second Lieutenant. He worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years in Minneapolis, MN.
Ronald loved to play tennis and golf with his many friends. He loved to travel and truly enjoyed meeting new people. He took us fishing and swimming so many times on the pond. He looked forward to the occasional tennis and golf competition with his sons.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Collin, and his mother, Mary. He is also preceded in death by his step grandson, Sam Allen. He is survived by his wife Ruth, three sons, David,
Andrew and Mitchell, grandchildren, Drew and Seth MacLeod, and many nieces and nephews.
